Guru New Year Smoothie tasty, healthy treat

Every year, I have to start from scratch with my diet, which means I bring my Grillax Guru New Year Smoothie into the mix.

This smoothie is a highly nutritious, protein-packed, and fiber-rich meal replacement or post-workout snack. It provides a balanced combination of macronutrients (high protein, moderate carbohydrates, low fat) while being, on average, around 300–350. It is perfect for breakfast, lunch or afternoon snack when hunger hits.

The Guru New Year Smoothie is a “functional” protein smoothie focusing more on energy and muscle recovery and keeping that full feeling longer.

The goods in a Guru New Year Smoothie

Nutritional Breakdown
Calories: 300-350 kcal
Protein: 25-30g
Carbs: 35-40g
Fat: 5-8g
  • Marine Proteins (2T): Provides roughly 10g of pure protein, often collagen-based, offering excellent amino acid support for skin, hair, and muscles.
  • Peanut Butter Powder (2t): Adds a rich, nutty flavor, protein, and healthy fats while being significantly lower in calories and fat than regular peanut butter (approx. 4-6g protein per 2T, though only 2t is used here).
  • Banana (1 whole): Provides natural sweetness, creaminess, potassium, and fiber (about 3g).
  • Oatmeal (1/4 c): Adds complex carbohydrates for sustained energy and soluble fiber to aid in satiety.
  • Unsweetened Almond Milk (8 ounces): A low-calorie, dairy-free base that provides a creamy texture without adding significant sugar or fat.

The combination of marine protein and peanut powder creates a high-protein drink that keeps you full.

Although weight is the primary focus, hearth health comes into play, too, with this smoothie. It contains potassium and fiber, which helps manage blood pressure and cholesterol. And I ain’t gonna lie, grillmasters tend to fall into the HBP and HC categories.

If you are using a 1/4 cup of raw oats and not quick oats, the texture may be gritty if not blended well, so blend that sucker for a good 15 seconds or more.

Using unsweetened almond milk and natural sweetness from the banana keeps added sugars low. This is exactly what I intended to target with this smoothie … low sugars.

Happy Dieting!
