Ingredients
19-inch premade pie crust
2cpecans
3large eggs
3/4cdark brown sugar
2/3clight corn syrup
1tspvanilla extract (not imitation)
2Tbspunsalted butter, melted
4Tbsptop-shelf bourbon
1/2tspsea salt
3/4cdark chocolate chunks
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Toast the pecans for 8-10 minutes; coarsely chop.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, melted butter, bourbon and sea salt until blended.
Stir in the pecans and chocolate chunks until all is evenly distributed.
Pour the filling into the premade pie crust. Bake on the bottom shelf of the oven for about 55 minutes, or until the center of the pie is set. If the edge is browning too quickly, tent the crust with foil halfway through the baking time.
Transfer the pie to a cooling rack and let stand for at least 1 hour before serving.
