Cane's Sauce

It wasn't hard to figure out the recipe for this famous sauce since it was almost exactly like the one we used at a regional competitor, Abner's. We made this sauce by hand so we know the ingredients are legit. This is a make-ahead-of-time sauce, so it's perfect for tailgates or upcoming parties.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c Blue Plate mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c Heinz ketchup
  • 1/2 t Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1/2 t lemon pepper

Optional

  • 1/2 t coarse black pepper (omit lemon pepper)

Instructions

  • In a small bow, mix all ingredients well until combined and creamy.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and keep it in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before serving.
