What's In It?

  • 2 lbs flank steak, 1-inch thick
  • 2 T toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 T sesame oil
  • 1/4 c red wine vinegar
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 T vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 T chopped green onion
  • 1 t freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 t crushed red pepper flakes

How to Make It

  1. Trim fat and gristle from meat and cut into strips, about one-inch wide.

  2. Combine sesame seeds, sesame oil, vinegar, soy sauce, oil and brown sugar in a large bowl.

  3. Stir in garlic, green onions, pepper and pepper flakes.

  4. Add beef strips, coat well, cover and refrigerate 6 to 8 hours.

  5. Remove beef from marinade and thread onto skewers.

  6. Grill over high heat for 6-8 minutes, or until a medium-rare to medium.
